STEM Teaching Cases -- cultivating computational thinking, innovation and creativity abilities
In this era of “Education and Internet Plus”, the Internet is deeply integrated into education. Teaching staff are encouraged to carry out educational innovation through the aid of information technology, thereby cultivating students' innovation, creativity and comprehensive qualities. It is hoped that through displaying the STEM/STEAM/STREAM (collectively referred to as STEM) related teaching projects, teaching staff will be inspired to apply the STEM ideas and elements in teaching so as to develop students' innovation and creativity, computational thinking, practical ability and problem-solving ability, etc.
Instituto Salesiano, Macau Pooi To Middle School and The Workers’ Children High School of Macao are invited to this Experience and Display event as co-organizers, presenting the following five STEM-related projects as teaching cases, including art, games, physics experiments, language learning and smart home. Through watching the real examples, teaching staff can better understand the conceptions and teaching elements of these projects as well as the focal points in the development of students' abilities, thereby, inspiring teaching staff to carry out more educational innovation and practice.
